I BOUGHT THE IMPACT DRIVER SO I COULD HAVE A SMALLER DRIVER KIT TO COMPLIMENT MY VERY GOOD, BUT VERY HEAVY 18 VOLT MILWAUKEE KIT. I LOVE MY MW BUT I WANTED SOMETHING TO USE THAT WOULD NOT BREAK MY ARM AS I AM PLANNING TO INSTALL ABOUT 20 BLINDS FOR MY WIFE'S BOSS AT A NEW LOCATION. THIS UNIT IS GREAT. I HAVE ONLY HAD IT FOR ABOUT A MONTH NOW BUT I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. LONG BATTERY LIFE AND AWESOME POWER FOR A SMALL DEVICE. I LOVE THE LIGHT ON THE TIP AND IT STAYS ON LONG ENOUGH TO SEE WHAT YOU ARE DOING AFTER YOU USE IT. THAT IS A SMALL FEATURE BUT A VERY GOOD ONE AS WELL. QUICK DELIVERY FROM AMAZON AS ALWAYS AND A GREAT TOOL
MY ONE MISTAKE WAS TO PURCHASE A "RECONDITIONED" UNIT FROM THE ONLINE TYLER TOOL COMPANY BEFORE I MADE THE RIGHT PURCHASE. THAT WAS A BIG MISTAKE. ACCORDING TO THE POLICY STATED THE RECONDITIONED TOOLS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE NEW WITH ALL NEW PARTS THAT NEED ATTENTION AND IN PERFECT WORKING ORDER. THE UNIT I RECEIVED WAS FAR FROM THAT. IT LOOKED LIKE IT HAD BEEN HEAVILY USED COSMETICALLY MANY SCRATCHES AND EVEN A PAINT MARK ON THE HANDLE. IT LOOKED OVERLY USED. ON TOP OF THAT IT DID NOT WORK. IT APPEARED THAT THE CLUTCH WAS BROKEN OR SOMETHING SO IT ONLY TURNED SOMETIMES. I CALLED TYLER AND IT COST ME SHIPPING TO RETURN IT WHICH SUCKS. IF THEY SEND YOU SOMETHING THAT IS BROKEN THEY SHOULD PAY FOR THE RETURN IN MY OPIONION. THEY DID OFFER TO SEND ME A REPLACEMENT, BUT I WANTED MY MONEY BACK NOT ANOTHER BAD TOOL. I CALLED MAKITA AND COMPLAINED TO THEM AND THE GUY THERE DID NOT SEEM TO CARE EITHER, SO THAT DISCOURAGED ME SOME BUT THEY DO MAKE A GOOD PRODUCT I THINK SO I ROLLED THE DICE ON A NEW PRODUCT. I WILL NEVER BUY A RECONDITIONED TOOL AGAIN. I WAS ONLY SAVING ABOUT ANYWAY AND IT IS NOT WORTH THE HASSLE.
